I am Devon (apparently it means 'Poet' of which I am not), a Chicago suburbanite. Im 20 and finished my associates degree at community college. Current pursuits are random bouts of pet sitting and acquiring a zoo internship until i begin school at a real university next year as a biology major. I am an animal-aholic with a Bernese Mountain Dog, rabbit, tortoise, birds, and fish. I was born a redhead and it faded to blonde. I much prefer red though and dye it so, occasionally joined with the tinge of black. I love taking natural pictures, nothing posed, just life as it is. I love to skateboard or longboard, and would rather be outside any day than in. I got certified to repair computers back in high school, and I recently completed my SCUBA certification. Next I want to get my motorcycle and pilots licenses.

I was on a seem to be hiatus. I returned home from Kentucky but only for a brief time, as I am now in Cincinnati. I got my internship at the zoo! So although there has been a lack of photos as of recently, there should be a good surplus soon, and of animals other than pets! I work in the insect house and the manatee house, so definitely new fun creatures to capture!

I dropped.my cell.into.the toilet.WTF
My phone is my only lifeline to back home from here, its the phone and its my internet connection for my laptop. Something like that just HAD to happen didnt it.
Luckily the rice trick saved it for the time being and the insurance will ship me out a new one in a couple of days. *Sigh*

I never thought I was that much of a city kid until now. Im living in Kentucky for at least a month currently, getting paid to care for two litters of puppies and the rest of the animal crew that belong to a friend of my mothers. We are right outside of Lexington, but its still just country. I went from living right on the city limits of Chicago to living on a farm. I mean an actual farm, there's horses and cows, well were cows, they got taken away to be made into someones food. I was laughed at for calling Lexington 'the city', because no one calls it that I guess, but back home no one called Chicago by its name, its just 'the city'. It was
